OECD 301: Ready biodegradability

Record Type:Study

The OECD 301: Ready Biodegradability is an environmental fate study that assesses the biodegradability of chemicals in an aerobic aqueous medium. Six different types of tests can be performed: the DOC die-away, the CO2 evolution (modified sturm test), the MITI (I) (Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Japan), the closed bottle, the modified OECD screening and the manometric respirometry test. Suspensions are conducted for up to 28 days and degradation is assessed, followed by measurement of various water quality metrics.
